Charity Fundraisers and Awareness Days
We host various whole school celebrations days and charity fundraisers to build a sense of community and to link in with wider global events. Please see the list below of some of the events we host;Â
NSCPP Number Day
Children and staff across the school come in wearing maths/number related costumes to raise funds for the NSPCC. We always see such a wonderful collection of costumes, homemade t-shirts and wacky items, it’s a joy to see such creativity and excitment about Maths! The children all take part in various Maths related activities across the school, and complete a whole school Maths problem solving challenge showing great teamwork, resilience and logic.
Anti-Bullying Week
A week of empowerment to encourage positivity to counter the harm of bullying with focus on our school core values of Kindness, Respect, Honesty and Safety.
Odd Socks Day
A special day where adults and children wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.
Neurodiversity Day
A special day to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. We hosted a whole school assembly to highlight this, and children dressed up to challenge the stereotypical image of a child.
Children’s Mental Health Week
To shine a spotlight on the importance of children’s mental health and how to look after wellbeing.
Red Nose Day/Children in Need
To develop a sense of giving and support to those less fortunate.
In addition, we like to get involved with wider village community events such as Bratton Village Week, Remembrance Day and Village Fetes.
